Well a fleece "expert" said that liquid detergent is a petroleum based product and fleece is a plastic product. The liquid detergent makes the fibers stick together and harden. Liquid fabric softener does the same thing. ****The solution? Powdered detergent-- and if necessary a dryer sheet but only for a minute or two if needed for static. I just thought this was good information since almost all of our jammies are made from fleece. So remember, Use POWDERED detergent and no matter how tempted you get, do not use liquid detergent or liquid fabric softener on fleece. They don't make the material any softer.
